Through The Lenses: Southville – Rodriguez, Rizal

When you hear of resettlement areas here in the Philippines, the first thing that comes into your mind is an unhabitable place in some far flung province where informal settlers are sent to.

Except that Southville in Rodriguez, Rizal is far from that one. The resettlement area north of Metro Manila is nothing but a community full of life.

Here is how life is like at Southville, a resettlement area made liveable thanks to the initiatives of the Claret Urban Poor Apostolate (CUPA) that also operates a kindergarten school called Claret Learning Center in the area.
